Sarawak's second-largest national park at 432 km², gazetted in 2000 and protecting the largest single patch of peat swamp forest left in Sarawak and Brunei. It's the world's only site with a viable population of the red banded langur, one of Borneo's rarest and most striking primates, and holds one of only around five viable proboscis monkey populations left in the state, alongside a significant number of silvered langurs. Visits go through the park office in Kampong Maludam — reached by vehicle ferry at Triso, then road — where you register and hire a boat to cruise the narrow, tannin-stained peat swamp waterways.
