About the Rainbow Lanternfly

Named for the multicoloured ('polychroma') patterning across its wings, a Bornean endemic recorded from East Malaysia's lowland and hill forest.

One of the more colourful members of the genus Scamandra, standing out against bark more than most lantern bugs, which typically favour duller, cryptic tones.

Not assessed for conservation status.
