Hobby's Lanternfly

About the Hobby's Lanternfly

A Bornean Pyrops recorded from Sabah's lowland forest — no confirmed photo is yet on file for this page.

Like its close relatives, it is most reliably found by scanning tree trunks on a guided night walk, where its upturned snout and patterned wings distinguish it from the plainer Fulgoridae sharing the same trees.

Not assessed for conservation status.
