A member of the Pyrops effusus species group centred on Kalimantan, restricted to the Bornean lowlands and offshore Laut Island — no confirmed photo is yet on file for this page.
Shares the group's characteristic upturned snout and patterned wings, and like its close relative Gunji's Lanternfly is known from relatively few documented records.
Not assessed for conservation status; a narrow-range Bornean endemic with limited survey data.
