One of Borneo's smallest toads, part of the genus Pelophryne, tiny even relative to other dwarf toads and easily mistaken for a young individual of a larger species.
Found in leaf litter and low vegetation in montane forest, most reliably located by its high-pitched call given its minute size and cryptic colouring.
