Very similar to White's Thrush, with the same bold golden-brown scaling, but generally distinguished by voice and subtle plumage and structural differences.
A scarce winter visitor to Borneo's forests, it forages alone on shaded forest floors, turning leaf litter for earthworms and other invertebrates.
