A little-known Bornean-endemic treeshrew, named for a faint darker stripe pattern along the back that distinguishes it from otherwise similar plain-coated relatives.
Diurnal, foraging on the ground and in low vegetation for insects and fruit in lowland forest, broadly similar in habits to other small Tupaia species. Rarely reported and poorly documented in the wild.
