A small treeshrew, noticeably smaller than the common treeshrew, with a proportionally shorter snout and a coat that is typically a duller brown.
Diurnal and largely terrestrial, foraging in leaf litter and low vegetation for insects and other small invertebrates alongside some fruit. Found in a broad range of forest types including secondary and disturbed habitat.
