A tall, pale grey wader with long greenish legs and a slightly upturned bill, often seen actively chasing small fish in shallow water.
A common and widespread winter visitor across Borneo's coastal mudflats, estuaries and freshwater wetlands, typically the loudest and most conspicuous of the region's shanks.
