Large Woodshrike

A stout, grey-brown bird with a heavy bill and a bold white supercilium, usually detected first by its loud, ringing whistled calls given from mid-storey perches in forest.

Feeds on insects gleaned from bark, twigs and foliage, often moving with mixed-species flocks through lowland and hill forest.
