A small, pale hawk with dark wingtips and a red cere and legs, migrating through Borneo in large, loose flocks known locally by their passage in huge numbers along coastal routes.
Feeds mainly on large insects and small lizards caught on the wing or on the ground, refuelling during stopovers before continuing its long migration further into the Sunda region.
