A small, slim-bodied squirrel with a plain brownish coat, part of the Sundasciurus group of small Bornean squirrels that are notoriously difficult to separate in the field without close comparison.
Diurnal and arboreal in lowland forest, feeding on fruit, seeds and bark, generally low-key and easily overlooked among more conspicuous squirrel species.
