A tiny, high-elevation shrew known only from Borneo's mountains, with the plain dark coat and pointed snout typical of the genus and no strongly distinctive field marks.
Presumed to forage continuously in leaf litter for tiny invertebrates, as with other Suncus shrews. Its minute size, montane restriction and secretive habits make direct sightings extremely unlikely.
