A dark rufous-brown babbler with a distinctive whitish patch behind the eye and pale throat, quietly working through leaf litter and low tangles in shaded forest.
Now considered Near-threatened as lowland forest clearance across Borneo and Sumatra steadily shrinks the undisturbed habitat this shy species relies on.
