Crested Serpent-Eagle

A medium-large raptor with a broad, rounded crest, yellow facial skin and legs, and a distinctive banded tail visible in flight. One of the more frequently encountered forest eagles in Sabah.

Specialises in hunting snakes and other reptiles, as well as amphibians and small mammals, typically soaring over the canopy giving a loud, far-carrying scream, or perched conspicuously at forest edges.
