Hook-billed Bulbul

A large, plain greyish bulbul with a distinctively hooked, heavy bill, classified as Vulnerable due to severe loss of its specialised peat-swamp and heath forest habitat.

Rare and local across its Sundaic range, feeding on fruit and insects in the canopy, and considered one of the more difficult bulbuls to observe in Borneo.
