A little-known highland partridge with a grey head, chestnut nape and finely vermiculated body plumage, confined to the cool upper montane forests of Borneo's central mountains.
Classed as Data Deficient owing to how rarely it is recorded, this Bornean endemic remains one of the least-studied partridges on the island, known mainly from a handful of high-elevation sites.
