A small, colourful fruit dove with males showing a bright crimson face, pink breast and green upperparts — one of the more striking pigeons in Bornean forest when seen well.
Feeds quietly on small fruit in the mid-to-upper canopy, and can be easy to overlook despite its bright colours given how still it sits while feeding.
