A sharply marked bulbul with a tall black crest and a small red patch below the eye, a popular cagebird whose presence in Borneo is of uncertain origin.
Found around gardens and edge habitats, feeding on fruit and insects, with local populations likely descended at least partly from escaped or released birds.
