Closely related to Horsfield's parachute gecko and sharing the same gliding skin-flap adaptation, named after the naturalist Heinrich Kuhl.
Nocturnal and arboreal, hunting invertebrates on tree trunks, gliding to escape predators or move between trees, and superbly camouflaged against bark by day.
