A striking Bornean endemic, boldly patterned with black, white and chestnut streaking, that creeps through leaf litter on the forest floor much like a mouse.
Classed as Vulnerable owing to ongoing loss of the lowland and hill forest it depends on, making it one of the more range-restricted and threatened babblers on the island.
