A flying squirrel with a smoky grey coat, found in Bornean montane and hill forest, generally at higher elevation than many of the lowland Petinomys and Hylopetes species.
Nocturnal, gliding between trees and feeding on leaves, bark and fruit. A cool-forest specialist more likely encountered around Kinabalu Park or Trus Madi than in lowland reserves.
