A large green barbet with a heavy bill and a distinctive bare blue facial patch, found only in Borneo's hill and montane forests and considered a prized endemic among birdwatchers.
Feeds on fruit high in the canopy and gives a loud, deep, repetitive call, remaining scarce and localised due to its restriction to higher elevation forest.
