A rare/accidental vagrant to Borneo, this widespread Palearctic warbler breeds across Europe and Asia but winters overwhelmingly in Africa, making any Bornean record exceptional.
Plain greenish-yellow above and pale below, it closely resembles other Phylloscopus warblers and would be identified largely by call and voice if encountered.
