A small flying squirrel named after the Dutch zoologist Coenraad Jacob Temminck, broadly similar in size and habits to Borneo's other small Petinomys gliding squirrels.
Nocturnal, gliding between trees in lowland forest and feeding on leaves and fruit. Not a species most visitors will confidently separate from related flying squirrels without expert help.
