A tiny gliding squirrel, one of the smallest flying squirrel species in the world, named after the naturalist Charles Hose. Rarely seen given its small size, nocturnal habits and forest-canopy lifestyle.
Presumed to glide short distances between tree trunks at night, feeding on leaves and bark, but detailed field observations are scarce. A genuine rarity rather than a planned sighting.
