A familiar grey-and-black tit with a bold white cheek patch and a black central breast stripe, closely related to the widespread Great Tit and often found in open woodland and garden habitats.
Gleans insects and seeds from foliage and branches at low to mid levels, and readily uses tree cavities and nest boxes for breeding where available.
