A streaky-breasted flowerpecker with a diagnostic yellow vent, olive above and heavily streaked below, favouring forest edge and secondary growth.
Feeds largely on mistletoe berries, an important disperser of these parasitic plants, and is often detected first by its thin, high-pitched calls.
