Ashy Tailorbird

A small warbler-relative with a grey body, rufous cap and pale underparts, found in mangroves, coastal scrub and forest edge.

Builds a distinctive nest by stitching living leaves together with plant fibre to form a cradle, then lining the inside — the behaviour that gives tailorbirds their name. Feeds on small insects gleaned from foliage.
