A plain grey-brown flycatcher with a pale eye-ring, whitish underparts and a broad dark bill, one of the most nondescript of Borneo's migrant flycatchers.
A common winter visitor found in a wide range of wooded and semi-open habitats, from mangroves to gardens, sallying for insects from low to mid-level perches.
