A small, warm brown babbler with a rufous crown and finely streaked underparts, one of the more familiar and vocal babblers of disturbed and edge habitats.
Highly adaptable and often the easiest babbler to see, it moves actively through low scrub and hedgerows giving loud, repetitive whistled calls.
