A Bornean-endemic horned frog named after the herpetologist who described it, with the pointed snout and eye-horns typical of Megophrys, generally smaller and less frequently recorded than the lowland Bornean horned frog.
Sits motionless in leaf litter near montane streams, ambushing invertebrates that stray within range; most reliably found at night by careful torchlight scanning of the leaf litter rather than by call.
