One of Borneo's most sought-after endemic birds by dedicated birders. Males have glossy blue-black plumage, a spectacular pure white tail fanned during display, and bright blue bare facial wattles that can be inflated over the head.
A shy hill-forest species, most often located by first finding an active display site, since direct encounters away from a display ground are rare and unpredictable.
