A fanged frog associated with small forest rivulets and streams, with the bony jaw projections used by males in territorial disputes typical of the genus Limnonectes.

Nocturnal, calling from the stream edge and feeding on invertebrates; field separation from Borneo's many other Limnonectes species generally requires close comparison.
