Lesser Adjutant

A large, ungainly stork with a bald head, heavy bill and hunched posture, found around wetlands, rivers and coastal areas, often scavenging alongside more active hunting.

Feeds on fish, frogs, carrion and invertebrates in shallow water and mudflats, and is frequently seen soaring at height on thermals, wings held flat.
