Inger's Black-eyed Litter Frog

A litter frog in the same genus as the lowland litter frog, sharing the robust build and mottled brown camouflage typical of Leptobrachium, with males often showing bright orange or red iris colouring. Named after the herpetologist Robert Inger.

Found on the forest floor near streams in lowland and hill forest, nocturnal, feeding on small invertebrates; separating it from closely related Leptobrachium species generally needs a close look at the eye or a recorded call.
