A large fish eagle with a pale grey head and chestnut body, found along larger rivers, lakes and wetlands, including regularly along the Kinabatangan.
Hunts fish by diving from a perch or in low flight over the water, and is often located by its loud, distinctive call given from a prominent riverside tree.
