A small gliding squirrel with a furred membrane (patagium) stretched between its limbs, letting it cover long distances between trees on a single glide despite its modest size.
Nocturnal, spending the day resting in a tree hollow or dense foliage and emerging after dark to feed on leaves, fruit and seeds. Best located by torchlight, when its eyeshine or a glide between trees gives its position away.
