A rare/accidental winter visitor to Borneo, this plain brown bush warbler breeds in northeast Asia and normally winters closer to the Asian mainland.
Extremely skulking, it stays low in dense scrub and grass, foraging for insects and giving a harsh, scolding call when disturbed.
