One of the world's most familiar birds, this long-tailed swallow with a deep blue back and rufous throat is an abundant winter visitor to Bornean farmland and wetlands.
Gathers in large communal roosts in reedbeds during the non-breeding season and hawks insects in graceful, agile flight low over open ground.
