One of the fastest fliers in level flight of any bird, a large, powerful swift with a white throat and undertail patch, seen in Borneo mainly as a passage migrant.
Forages high over forest and hill country for flying insects, often in mixed flocks with other swifts, and can cover vast distances during its long-range migration.
