A slender black-and-white wader with extraordinarily long pink legs and a fine, straight black bill, easily picked out wading in shallow water.
Found in freshwater wetlands, paddies and coastal lagoons across Borneo, often in small loose flocks, feeding by picking invertebrates from the water's surface and mud.
