Also known as the Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler, this heavily streaked, skulking warbler is a Siberian migrant that winters in Bornean grassland and paddy habitats.
Extremely secretive, it creeps mouse-like through dense grass and is far more often heard than seen, giving sharp ticking calls when flushed.
