A large, fast, bright green snake with a contrasting reddish-brown tail, one of the more frequently and memorably encountered arboreal snakes in Sabah given its size and colouring.
Diurnal, hunting birds, eggs and small mammals in the canopy and mid-storey, non-venomous but capable of a defensive strike and loud hiss if cornered or handled.
