Angle-headed Lizard (sp.)

Agamid Lizards (Dragons)

Gonocephalus sp.

A placeholder entry for a photographed lizard identified as one of Borneo's angle-headed lizards (genus Gonocephalus) but not confidently identifiable to species from the photo alone. These are forest agamids with a distinctive angular head crest and casque, typically found perched head-down and motionless on tree trunks and saplings at night, relying on camouflage rather than flight.

If you can help pin down the exact species from the photo, or have additional images of the same individual, a species-level identification would be very welcome.
