A large, cryptically streaked snipe, very similar to Pintail Snipe and Common Snipe, best separated in the hand by tail feather counts.
An uncommon passage migrant and winter visitor to Borneo's paddies and wet grassland, typically detected when flushed rather than seen at rest.
