One of the larger Draco 'flying lizards', with a gliding membrane (patagium) marked by five dark bands, supported by elongated, movable ribs and extended only when leaping between trees.
Diurnal, spending most of its time head-down on tree trunks, feeding mainly on ants, and gliding to a neighbouring tree trunk rather than to the ground when disturbed.
