A bent-toed gecko named after the herpetologist Wilhelm Peters, part of the large and taxonomically complex Cyrtodactylus genus found across Borneo.

Nocturnal, hunting invertebrates on tree trunks, rocks and the forest floor, generally requiring close comparison to separate from related species.
