A large, uniformly pale blue-grey flycatcher, males washed with soft blue overall and females duller grey-brown with a bluish tail and rump.
Occurs in the mid-storey of hill and montane forest, perching quietly and sallying out for passing insects, generally a scarce and unobtrusive species.
