A quietly plumaged jungle flycatcher with warm fulvous-buff tones across the breast and olive-brown upperparts, easily confused with related Cyornis species.
Resident in the understorey of lowland and hill forest, foraging alone or in pairs and generally more often heard, via its thin song, than seen.
